  17. I believe that most people reading this list would define a "program 
  18. crash" as a fatal error that causes the program to terminate 
  19. unexpectedly.  That is not what you are describing.

  21. What you do describe is a communication problem between your Windows ME
  22. system and your MicroVAX.  Since this problem occurs with many different
  23. communication programs on the same computer, you will need to determine
  24. what is wrong with your serial port, your communication settings, or your 
  25. serial cable.
